-Episode 2529-

Women’s Role In The Church

Segment 1 (00:00) Todd intros the issue of the women leadership in the Southern Baptist Convention, which has traditionally aligned with complimentarianism. Todd explains submission is not a bad thing – it’s an orderly way that God designed the Trinity, as well as our roles as humans.

Segment 2 (08:55) Todd explains that the re-studying of existing stances is causing division in the church. This includes the office of pastor, which Biblically belongs to a man. Women can still teach in some capacity, just not exercising authority over men in a church setting. If the Biblical text is not applied to our modern day scenario, then the same argument can be made for LGBTQ.

Segment 3 (16:53) Todd shows how a woman should not be president of the SBC, since the function of the position is pastoral. Even in a woman only did business reports, she would be lacking the other duties of the president which is preaching to local churches. Denominations with woman leadership are declining. Todd exhorts us that we need to understand and read the Bible rightly.

Wretched Surprise! (25:15) The Masters Academy International shows a video.
